Principal's Corner

Welcome to McBride Elementary School, the Home of the Patriots! 

On behalf of the McBride staff, we welcome our new and returning families to another exciting year of teaching and learning. This will be the year of “making connections and building bridges between goals and accomplishments”.  Our mission is “Excellence in Education, every day for every McBride student.” Students are at the heart of everything we do.

In 2016, McBride Elementary School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School in the category of Exemplary High Performing School. Furthermore, during our Spring 2024 District Accreditation, McBride was commended for sustaining practices in the following learning environments: 

•    Well-managed learning environment – 99%
•    Supportive learning environment – 96%
•    Equitable learning environment -80%

We remain committed to maintaining a learning environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of all students. Our continuous school improvement plan focuses on student engagement through student goal setting, opportunities for students to engage in real world learning activities, and differentiated instruction to ensure access to quality instruction.

This school year, we look forward to increasing the options of extracurricular activities for students. We plan to have the following offerings: Student Leadership Academy, Safety Patrol, Chorus, Morning Broadcasting, Fitness Club, Reading Club, Dance Club, Arts and Crafts, and Drama Club. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in our cultural activities.  

Finally, we believe that the partnership between the school and home is critical for the success of our students. We encourage you to volunteer in the classroom, join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and/or Continuous School Improvement Team, and participate in school-wide celebrations and activities. Together we can ensure that McBride is a nurturing and safe learning environment for our students. Have an AMAZING school year!
