Welcome Ms. Virginia Espree to Morris R. McBride Elementary School!

Morris R. McBride Elementary School is excited to welcome Virginia Espree as our new Assistant Principal and is looking forward to her arrival. The Georgia-Alabama Community Superintendent, Dr. Lisa B. Coleman, is pleased to announce this appointment in the Southeast District at Fort Moore, Georgia.

Ms. Espree, originally from Opelousas, Louisiana, is a proud U.S. Army Veteran. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Columbia College in Missouri, a Master of Education with a concentration in Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University. She will assume her duties on November 18, 2024.

Ms. Espree began her education career in 1999 as a special education teacher in Richmond, VA. She has since held various roles in Atlanta, Georgia, and internationally with DODEA, including positions in Japan, Italy, Germany, Puerto Rico, and Guam. In 2022, she became the assistant principal at McCool Elementary Middle School in Santa Rita, Guam, focusing on instructional leadership and special education.

Ms. Espree is dedicated to fostering a positive school culture, supporting military-connected students, and building strong relationships with all stakeholders. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her five grandchildren.
