April Highlights
April is an exciting month filled with important events and celebrations. We are proud to recognize the Month of the Military Child, honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students and families. Throughout the month, students will participate in activities that celebrate and support our military children.
Students in grades 3–5 will also participate in summative assessments, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their learning and growth throughout the school year. Thank you for supporting your child with good rest, attendance, and encouragement during testing.
We are also excited to celebrate students through our Patriot of the Month (POM) celebrations, recognizing students in each grade level who exemplify our Patriot values.
As we enter the final weeks of school, we ask for your continued partnership in reinforcing our Patriot Practices:
- Be Kind to everyone
- Be Respectful toward everyone
- Be Responsible in our actions
- Be Safe in everything we do
The last day of school for students is May 21, 2026. We are proud of all that our students have accomplished and grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families.
Thank you for your continued support of McBride Elementary. We wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and joyful Summer Break!

- Breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 8:20 a.m. Please allow 15 minutes for your child to get breakfast and eat.
- As a reminder, please remember that your child should not arrive before 8:00 a.m. since there is no adult supervision until 8:00 a.m.
- The instructional day starts at 8:30 a.m. Please ensure that your child arrives in time to be in class by 8:30 a.m. Students who arrive after 8:30 a.m. to their classroom will be marked tardy.
- Parents are encouraged to use the designated walkway when going from the parking lot to the school and vice versa. This is for the safety of all stakeholders.

Regular Instructional Day (Monday- Friday)

Early Release (2nd Tuesday of the month)
| PK-5th Grade | 8:30 AM -2:30 PM |
*Every 2nd Tuesday will be an early release day. All other Tuesdays will be regular school hours.
Breakfast
Breakfast is from 8:00 a.m. - 8:25 a.m.
All students must be in their classrooms by 8:30 to be counted present.
Students arriving to class after 8:30 are counted tardy.
