"Night at the Insectarium" - Family STEM Night
STEM Night was truly an incredible experience, and our school was absolutely buzzing with excitement! From the moment families walked in, it was clear this was a special, collaborative event filled with learning, creativity, and joy.
Teachers transformed the school into an Insectarium with insect builds and engaging STEM displays, showcasing the amazing work students completed throughout the week. Students beamed with pride as they guided their families through their projects, explaining their thinking and sharing what they learned.
Throughout the building, QR codes allowed families to dive even deeper, scanning to learn more about insects and extending the experience beyond what they could see. The scavenger hunt had families exploring every corner of the school, searching for insects and adding an extra layer of fun and adventure!
In the cafeteria, hands-on activities brought everyone together. Families worked side-by-side creating caterpillars, building linking cube insects, exploring insect anatomy, and even participating in insect yoga while learning through movement and play.
What an amazing night! We are already excited for next year!
