McBride Celebrates STEM Week
Our school was absolutely buzzing with excitement during this year’s STEM Week and what a bug-tastic success it was! With insects as our theme, students across all grade levels dove into hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery.
Each grade level brought their learning to life in amazing ways. Our youngest learners in Pre-K created bug catchers to explore the world around them, while Kindergarten students designed detailed insect habitats. First grade showed their strength by building powerful ants, and second grade got busy constructing impressive bee hives. Third grade engineered cozy insect hotels, fourth grade focused on the important role of pollinators, and fifth grade took things out of this world with their imaginative space insects!
The learning didn’t stop there, our students also had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers who shared real-world STEM careers, inspiring curiosity and future dreams.
From start to finish, it was clear that our students were fully engaged, having fun, and learning in meaningful ways. The excitement was contagious! You could say it really bugged everyone in the best way possible!
We are so proud of our students and thankful to our staff and community for making STEM Week such a memorable experience.
