Upcoming Events from the counselor’s corner: 

Lunch on the Lawn will take place September 22–25. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy lunch outdoors and connect with family and friends in a relaxed setting.

Hello Week will be celebrated September 15–19. Throughout the week, we’ll focus on showing kindness, making new friends, and building a welcoming school community.

Our first Patriot of the Month Celebration for this school year will be held on September 25. We’ll be highlighting the character trait of kindness and recognizing students who exemplify this value in their daily interactions. Stay tuned for a Patriot of the Month parent assembly in December 😊 

Military Family Life Counselor:

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Sheila Peterson to McBride Elementary as our Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC). Ms. Peterson provides confidential, non-medical counseling services that support the emotional well-being and resilience of our students, particularly those from military families.

Her role includes working with students individually or in small groups to help them navigate challenges and build coping skills. For your child to participate in these sessions, a parental consent form must be completed and submitted.

We are excited to have Ms. Peterson as part of our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our school community.
